Build quality is quite good for the $90 that i payed, it is made of a PVC composite so it is 100% weather proof but looks like leather my muffler melted a hole in one side so beware of really high temperature. Some of the components are only glued in place so be prepared to re-glue or leather stitch at some point, wight tolerance is quite acceptable i regularly store a ballistic vest with AR500 armored plating in my low-side bag and it has not failed.
I did have to drill more stitch holes in the harness to make it fit my bikes width but no big deal. These bags are awesome for the money and shipped very quickly. I originally bought the larger ones 16 x 6.5 x 11 inches Manufacturer Part Number NO-30-S but they didnt fit my Harley Dynaglide well so I requested an exchange for the smaller size 13 x 6.5 x 10.8 inches (NO-25-S). MotorcycleHouse was very easy to deal with and the exchange process was simple. They had me print a return label which I attached to the box and all I had to do was drop off at Fedex and that was it. I got my new bags in no time like less than a week turn around. The smaller bags fit perfect and although these are throw over bags and do not require mounting brackets, I fabricated my own brackets anyway just to secure them better.

They look and function perfectly. I am including pictures so people can. These bags are good value for the money, especially if you have a black bike, they look stock. They are not super well made, you can push the door in if you wanted to, and the locks are not great. But again, the alternative would be several hundred dollars. These bags come with NO HOLES drilled. You must install the brackets, position the bags, and drill your own mounting holes in the backs of the bags.
It takes several times off and on and fiddling to get things positioned correctly. And remember you are working on the inner side of the bags without much room or visibility.
The other issue is that the mounting brackets have threaded holes, so the holes you drill in the bags must line up EXACTLY with the brackets. I took my time and it. I upgraded to this from a tail bag, as I was tired of having to dismount to get in and out of the old bag.
This medium size is perfect and a perfect fit for a V Star 650 cruiser. There were a few stray threads that were getting caught in the zipper, but I snipped those out and now the zipper is smooth. I also wish it was all black instead of the gray on the magnet flaps. Those two nitpicks aside, it stays immovable up to at least 70 mph, which is all I've tried. I like how the flaps stick together when removing to carry it, instead of having to take the time to tuck them in. If you're like me and don't want people to see what's in the clear pouch, put your stuff in a black sock and it.
Got it today and was pretty easy to mount. Looks great for my GZ250, perfect size and fit. I do have to say it was nerve wracking having to make my own holes for the mounting (it's a true universal, no screw holes at all) because I didn't want to screw it up and do it wrong.
However I did it anyway and love the looks. This isn't a product you buy to secure stuff in for anti theft, this is for transport purposes only. They and super light, close nicely, but probably could use a better seal for the lid, mine just kinda fell out.
I'm going to put in something a bit more heavy duty and with adhesive. It's everything I was hoping for and more. Very heavy duty and durable motorcycle cover. This is definitely going to do the job, and is unlikely to tear. I bought two, one for my Honda 600 VLX, and one for my Harley Heritage.
On a recommendation I went ahead and went one size larger for the Honda, the XL, because I have a full size windshield, and highway bars on it. I think it was the right choice.
I was concerned that if I purchased a larger size that it might balloon in high winds and possibly know the bike over. The cover comes with attached 'belly straps' that connect under the bike to prevent that from happening. Good to know.
I have attached a picture of the Honda with the cover on. The windshield isn't attached, but it looks like there will be plenty of room once it is. The product is a bit more expensive, around $90, but.
